Founded in 1984 by Master Tai Chiang Ching, CMA (Creative Mental Arithmetic) has been a leader in brain development programs for children. After retiring from the army, Master Tai dedicated his life to studying early brain development and the benefits of abacus and mental arithmetic training. His passion led him to establish the first CMA institute in Taiwan, where he introduced innovative teaching methods that combined traditional abacus techniques with modern brain training exercises. Master Tai’s revolutionary two-hand, four-finger omission mental arithmetic calculation method is widely used in CMA institutes today. With over 30 years of research and development, he has also introduced EQ development modules, making CMA’s Total Brain Development Program (TBDP) one of the most powerful child development programs available. As the president of Yu-Ming Publishing Co. Ltd., Taiwan’s largest publisher of mental arithmetic books, Master Tai has authored over 200 books and developed online learning modules to further enhance the program’s effectiveness. About the CMA Program

The CMA (Creative Mental Arithmetic) Total Brain Development Program (TBDP) is a pioneering initiative designed to unlock the true potential of children aged 4 to 14 years. This comprehensive program is structured to enhance cognitive abilities, memory, concentration, and emotional intelligence through a unique blend of mental arithmetic and advanced brain training techniques. Many CMA students have gone on to become World Mental Arithmetic Champions, a testament to the program’s effectiveness in fostering exceptional mental agility and academic excellence. The CMA TBDP consists of several key modules:

EQ Development Training

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is crucial for personal and social success. CMA’s EQ Development Training helps children identify, understand, and manage their emotions effectively. This module focuses on developing leadership skills, decision-making abilities, teamwork, positive attitudes, and effective communication. Mental Arithmetic Training

CMA’s Mental Arithmetic Training enables children to perform complex calculations faster than a computer without any physical aids. This skill is achieved through the activation of the subconscious mind, converting numbers into visual images. Advanced Abacus Training

Abacus training stimulates both the right and left sides of the brain simultaneously. CMA employs the “Two-hand, Four-finger Omission Method,” the most advanced form of abacus calculation developed by Master Tai Chiang Ching. This technique, involving minimal bead movements with high speed and accuracy, ensures that students master mental arithmetic skills efficiently.
